This is the first and most important thing you need to do. When learning Korean or any other language, you are likely to go through various stages, including some tough ones. Of course, good moments will prevail, but keep in mind that motivation may not always be at its highest.

Because of that, being truly committed to learning Korean will help you not give up and put extra effort into achieving your goals. Always keep going!

2. Watch K-dramas

Korean dramas, or K-dramas, are a thing in the US and other countries. Specifically, Crash landing on youIt’s okay not to be okay, and The Squid Game are amongst the most watched across the globe. And that’s for a reason: they’re really great. So, why not take advantage of that and use them to improve your listening and your vocabulary faster?

3. Listen to K-pop

Korean pop, or K-pop, has become one of the most popular music genres in the world. For instance, BTS, Blackpink, and EXO are known everywhere, and their fanbase is increasing each year. Listening to their songs while reading the lyrics will definitely have a positive impact on your learning process.

4. Listen to Korean audiobooks

Also, another great idea is to play Korean audiobooks. Some of them are specifically designed for students, so you can choose the level of difficulty you want. There are some great stories waiting for you!

5. Don’t be shy about speaking

This tip is a crucial one. If you have the opportunity to practice your oral skills, do it! It doesn’t matter if you make mistakes; what matters is that speaking every time you can will help you learn Korean faster. I truly encourage you to take all the chances!

Wait, what? Label everying? Yes! Label everything you see or interact with in your home so that when you look at something, you can see the Korean word for that item and associate it with the object. We humans spend a lot of time scrolling on social media sites such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Because of that, it’s a great idea that you follow some accounts in Korean that you find interesting. I’m pretty sure that you’ll suddenly find yourself trying to understand what a certain post says, which will help you acquire new vocabulary.
